Biography

Hassine Moungla is Professor at the Université Paris Cité and a member of the Paris Descartes Computer Science Laboratory (LIPADE) since october 2008. He is member of Security and Optimization of Communication Systems research group (SOCS). He received his Habilitation to Direct Researsh (HDR: habilitation à Diriger des Recherches) from Paris Descartes University in Dec. 2017 and his PhD degree in computer science from the university of Sorbonne Paris Nord, France in Nov. 2006.

He was a researcher at INRIA until 2008 and research fellow at CNRS-LIPN laboratory of the University of Paris XIII until 2007.

His research interests lie in the field of new generation network (5G and 6G), Wireless Sensor Networking, ICN, Edge Computing, 5G Mobile and IoT Networks. Dr. Moungla advised several Ph.D. and Master's students from differents national and international Schools and Universities. His research efforts have culminated in more than sixty three refereed journal, book and conference publications including the IEEE Internet of Things Journal (IEEE IoT-J), IEEE Transactions on Vehicular Technology (IEEE TVT), Elsevier Ad hoc networks, IEEE GLOBECOM and ICC conferences. He participated and still participates to several national and international research projects. Among them DVD2C(2015-2018) & LCI4D(2014-2017) Industrial FUI projects, ANR TOSCANE (2006-2010), Ministry funding BIOSENSORS (2010-2012).

Since 2008, He also participated to several local committees within Paris Descartes University (Faculty and Institute Council, Institute Board, and Faculty Recruiting Committee) and other French universities (Faculty Recruiting Committee at the University of Rennes 1 and at University of Lannion). As part of his professional activities linked to the computer networking research community, Hassine acted as Co-Chair of Best (& Student) paper eHealth TC Award Committee and Granted Awards 2017 of eHelath TC. He will act as TPC Chair of IEE CSCN 2018 and Chair of Selected eHealth Area in next IEEE ICC 2019; He was a General Chair of MobileHealth WS, ACM MOBIHOC 2017, Chair of eHealth and Well-being Track at IEEE International Smart Cities Conference (ISC2 – 2017); Track Chair and Co-Chair for more than 10 IEEE and ACM conferences. He was or is also involved in the organizing committees of several conferences as IEEE CSCN 2018, IEEE GIIS 2009, IEEE MASCOT 2014. Hassine has been on the technical program committee of different ACM and IEEE conferences, including INFOCOM, GLOBECOM, ICC, WiMob, WCNC, VTC, IM/NOMS, IWCMC, GIIS, WiMob, Wireless Days, CNSM, DSOM and chaired some of their sessions. He is an IEEE member(IEEE Senior member candidate) and active ember of eHealth Technical Committee from several years.

Hassine Moungla is currently associate researcher at Institut Polytechnique de Paris located at Saclay pole.
